One of my favorites Christmas gifts

Let me preface this with a small story. One day in church, about a month before Christmas, Logan drew a picture of him, Jon and I. He wrote the names of the people in the picture:

LOGAN
JON
MOM

Okay....He usually calls Jon "Daddy", but whatever. He actually said he was going to write all of our names, but he didn't know how to spell my name. Alright, that makes sense.

Then, the last week of school, he made a Christmas card for us:

I love it. I packed it away with all of the Christmas decorations and will cherish it for all of the years to come. I love that kid. And his Dad. And Jon.

Playing Catch Up: Part II

LOGAN'S CHRISTMAS EVE

Logan got ahold of my camera. Here's what he thought warranted a picture:
(There was also one of Jon's rear end...thought I'd spare you that one)

(What kid isn't focused on the presents?)

(This is only a small sampling of the pictures of the TV show he was watching)
And here's my favorite:
I think I'll get him his own camera soon. I like his view of things.

Playing Catch Up: Part I

TRIMMING THE TREES
There are so many things I love about Christmas time. One of them is the tree. I love christmas trees. (Although, not quite as much as my sister-in-law, Teresa. She had me way beat in number of trees this year. Just wait, Teresa - I might catch up to you one day!) A few years ago I adopted a blue and white/silver theme for my tree. I love the winteryness of the colors.

Logan's had his own tree for a few years, now, where he gets to hang all of kid/fun ornaments.

Lexi got her own very own pink mini-tree this year.

And they both got to hang the ornaments on the big tree. (Which was real and boy, did it sure smell good!)

Logan actually got some of the ornaments pretty high up there.

Daddy helped a bit, lifting the kids way up high.....

...but notice the bare patch on top............................and the row of ornaments along the bottom!

Here's the finished product:

Christmas in Idaho

If you haven't heard already...my Dad and Laura are making the 1000 mile trip up to Boise, Idaho from their beloved Chandler, Arizona. I thought I would prepare them for what kind of weather to expect. Heaven forbid they aren't prepared to leave their sunny and 70 degree winter weather to the cold and unforgiving frigid north. They aren't as young as they used to be and I don't want the shock to cause any medical emergencies. Here are some pictures of Boise so they can get mentally prepared for such a Christmas as we can provide.
