So - everything has kind of been put on hold this week. We've only played 1 Catan game, I haven't blogged, I haven't paid any bills, read any emails, or even cooked dinner. Why not, you may wonder.... I finally got a job. I've been looking since January, and it's been very frustrating up until now. I guess that people of Idaho just didn't understand how fabulous I am!
Last Thursday, I saw a job opening through a temp agency that sounded interesting. So I called them and they had me come in that day for an interview. Friday morning, the agency calls and says the company wants to interview me that afternoon. Luckily, my schedule was open, so I went in to meet with the company people and headed back home. The agency called me before I even made it home to say the company wants to offer me the job. Then I started on Tuesday. It all happened so fast, that I wasn't really prepared - even though I've pretty much spent the last 4-5 months preparing! So now Jon works an early shift and I work a later shift. I take the kids to babysitter and Jon picks them up and feeds them dinner. It's only been 4 days, and man, am I tired! I feel like I've gotten nothing done this week. But then again - I'm getting a paycheck now, so I must've accomplish something! I work for an international shipping company - think cargo ships, not UPS. It's pretty interesting and I'm liking it so far.
The moral of the story is this. This blog will probably not be updated more than once a week. If that. Sorry to dissapoint all you daily blog checkers. Maybe once I get into the swing of things with the new schedule I'll do better.
In other news....the kids are great. Here are a few pictures of Lexi eating. She's hasn't totally figured out the spoon thing yet, but she loves it. The only way we can get her to eat veggies right now is letting her feed herself the baby kind. I usually managed to get a few spoonfuls in her mouth, too.
Her hair is finally getting long enough to put in little pony tails. This is the aftermath one day...
Logan has been very adamant that he does NOT want to take the training wheels off of his bike. I keep telling him they're coming off when he turns six - he tries to compromise and says he'll take him off when he's eight.
A couple of weeks ago, he all of a sudden decided he wanted to try riding his bike without them, so Jon gave a go.... I think manage to ride for like, 2 seconds on his own. Jon held the seat most of the time. I think it was a little frustrating for Jon because Logan kept slamming on his brakes to take a water break.
The training wheels have not gone back on his bike. Neither has Logan.

Woo-Hoo, Logan!! I knew you could do it. Keep practicing and you'll be riding that bike without Daddy anywhere near you!
