Today's Picture and an Anniversary

Here's the picture I found on my laptop today:

Jon and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary last Monday. He took the day off and we hung out and went to lunch at Tucanos (a Brazillian Grill - it's been open since Feb 12 and we've been twice already!) Then on Friday I planned a surprise date for him - a movie, steak dinner and a hotel room - no kids! It was great to sleep in and not have to worry about the kids - they were in the more than capable hands of Grammie and Papa, who are visiting for a while. I've been thinking about posting a Happy Anniversary post all week, but I discovered that I have no pictures of just Jon and I - crazy, I know! Laura was nice enough to take a few pictures of us yesterday when we were out for a drive in the mountains.

We even got one of the whole family.

In case you missed it - these are the Suns points in the first three games since the departure of Terry Porter. The Suns are back - Wahoo! Too bad we now have lost Amar'e for 8 weeks. If only Jared had performed the surgery - he may not have missed a game. We are avid Suns fans. They are one of the only things we miss about living in Arizona (besides family and friends, of course). We decided to get the NBA League Pass year so we wouldn't have withdrawals like we did last year. It's been frustrating - tough at times - there's been many a night in which we've wet our pillows with tears - but there is a shining hope for the future of the Suns. We remain faithful fans.

Who is your favorite Suns player (on the current roster)? Jon's is Leandro Barbosa a.k.a. The Brazilian Blur. Jamie's is currently Louis Amundson (but she really misses Raja Bell).

A Birthday and A Photo

My sweet girl turned 2 last Thursday. We didn't have a big to-do or anything, just cake and opening presents. Logan helped with the writing on the cake....

We forgot to get candles for her cake, so I borrowed the "one" from my neighbor. She really is 2, now. Really. She liked everyone singing to her, but didn't want to eat the cake. She had a blast opening the presents, but she really couldn't have cared less what the actual presents were. I'm sure she'll grow out of that - she is a girl, after all. She had a good time.

Yes, I am fully aware of my slackness regarding this blog. It will most likely continue. Sorry.

After I went back to work last summer, I splurged and got myself a laptop. I love it. I don't know why I waited so long to get one. Jon loves it, as well. He uses it as much as I do, if not more. I have a picture thing on the side of my desktop that shows random pictures. Every so often, I will open my laptop to find Jon has saved one of these said pictures as the wallpaper. I love it. I never know what cool picture of my kids I'm going to see. Here's the one that's been there the past few days....
