This one's for Patrick

Patrick has been wondering why I haven't updated my blog lately. So here you go.

As I've mentioned previously, when I get woken up, I tend to be a little grumpy. Apparently, I can be a little out of it, as well. When I still lived at home, my Dad liked waking me up for school and stuff because he liked to hear what I would say. Usually stuff about whatever dream I was having, but it was make absolutely no sense and he thought it was hilarious.

I think Logan may be a little like that. I had to wake him up this morning, because I'm watching a friend of his today. As he was getting out of bed, he asked me if I knew that people wrote books. Okay - no idea where that come from. As we were walking to the stairs, he says:

"You know what I heard?"
"What did you hear?"
"That Patrick loves School."

There you go Patrick. He knows you so well!

Logan the Wiseguy

So, I'm sitting here at the computer, minding my own business, playing a puzzle game. Logan comes up and asks if he can do the puzzle. I say no, because it's too hard.
He says, "Then why are you doing it?"
Ha Ha. Good one Logan.

Lexi and the Suns

I've never been a big basketball fan, so I never watched any of the games with Jon. About a year and half ago, however, I got caught up in the playoffs, and have been a Suns fan ever since. I went to my first Suns game with Jon last November. Of course, it was one of the very few games Nash didn't play, so that was no fun, but we still won. Jon and I had a great time (even though I was very pregnant and it started to get difficult sitting and standing and sitting and standing). We decided to buy everyone Suns t-shirts. I got Lexi a 6-month shirt, figuring August would be the perfect time for a t-shirt. Well... I got it out in early July for her to wear - and wouldn't you know - she only got to wear it once! But isn't she cute??? (I'm biased, I know)

In other news - Lexi had her 6 month check-up a few days ago. She weighs 19 pounds and is 27.5 inches tall. Both of those are in the 99th percentile. No wonder the t-shirt didn't fit her!

Babies

While I was in Arizona, the timing worked about perfectly for me to attend baby showers for 2 of my sisters-in-law. Jon's sister, Teresa, is having her first child - a boy. My brothers wife, Beth, is having her 3rd and 4th children - both boys. I believe Teresa is due at the end of August and Beth is due in early September. Or - shall I say "was" due in September. She ended up having the babies the day before I came home - 6 weeks early.

They had to stay in the hospital for almost 2 weeks, but they are home now, and I hear they are doing just great.

Jackson Philip Farr is on the left

Kyle James Farr is on the right

And here is the whole family: Travis (my brother), Beth (doesn't she look great!) Collin (3-on Trav's lap), Austin (5-with the big grin) and the babies - sorry boys, don't know which one is Jackson and which one is Kyle!

I am so glad I had the chance to see them before I came back home. And I'm just thrilled that the boys are home, healthy and happy.

Time Off

Okay, so I took a little time off. I took the kids to Arizona to spend some time with friends and family. We had a great time. Although, I did realize that I really like living in Idaho. Wow - never thought I'd say that. Really, the only thing I don't like about living here is the lack of friends and family - everything else is great.

The other day, I was minding my own business when I heard my car honking (it doesn't have an alarm, but it's got that panic button thing). So, I grabbed my keys and went outside. Now, I never have the good fortune of being able to turn the honking off on the first try. I always have to push the button like 5 times. So, I'm out there pushing the button, and the darn honking will not go away. Finally, it stops. For about 2 seconds, then it starts again. I thought I pushed the button one too many times and turned it on again, so I frantically start pushing the button again. The honking stops. For about 3 seconds this time, then it starts again.

So, I'm standing there in my driveway with Lexi in my arms, and my car is honking so loud and the trunk has now popped open. Jon comes out to see what the heck I'm doing and why don't I just turn the honking off. I'm trying, I tell him. Then, for some reason, I look up and I see my sweet boy Logan and 4 of the neighbor kids standing at his window looking down on us and laughing their heads off. It appears that Logan got ahold of Jon's keys and was up there turning the honking back on as soon as I turned it off. They just thought it was the greatest thing in the world. And really, it was kind of funny.

Hiccups and Giggles

Lexi had the hiccups one evening. Logan thought it would be a good idea to scare them out of her. She jumped the first two time he jumped at her and said boo - then she thought it was the funniest thing...
